CoolSculpting was originally designed to help patients with fat reduction in the abdomen, thighs, and love handles—and it’s gotten even better with the introduction of the CoolMini applicator.
This specifically designed applicator has the perfect size, shape, and curvature to target smaller volumes of fatty tissue in harder-to-reach places, such as under the chin, above the knees, and around the armpits.
The first CoolSculpting instrument that was designed is too large for these smaller areas, but CoolMini is the ideal applicator to treat them.
Although the CoolMini applicator can improve numerous areas of the body, it has been specially designed to fit around the area beneath the chin in order to target excess subcutaneous fat—i.e., a double chin.
How Does CoolMini Work?
Like regular CoolSculpting, the CoolMini applicator uses cryolipolysis, (concentrated cold therapy) to freeze fat cells so that they are destroyed and eventually dissolve within the body naturally, getting rid of stubborn fatty deposits.
CoolMini Results
Patients who get treatments with CoolMini in Richmond are able to return to their normal routine immediately, and will begin to notice results about three weeks after the treatment. This is when the body begins to absorb the destroyed fat cells.
Results will continue to improve over the course of 3-4 months, with many patients experiencing a fat reduction of 20%-25%.
